The singer said that he still finds it difficult to talk about this loss in front of the public, but decided to share his feelings because of the trust he has in moderator Ermal Peçi and the way he conducts the program.
"It's a pain that lasts a lifetime, especially the last moments. Sometimes I have doubts about whether or not I should have been there in the last moments of your departure from life, when you closed your eyes. When you're not there, you say why I wasn't there; when you are there, the final image of your closing your eyes remains forever. I think that until I leave this life, that moment will never leave my mind. I don't believe it's gone; I go home and I can't find it," he said.
Redon Makashi also stressed that he feels extremely proud of the contribution and work that his father has left for the Albanian public. He said that he was surprised by the large number of unknown people who participated in the last ceremony to honor the artist.
The singer also mentioned a mortgage that, according to him, his father had at the end of his life. He said that Fitim Makashi had requested to receive a pension, but this request was not granted.
According to him, any attempt to appreciate an artist after his death no longer has the same value, emphasizing that appreciation should come while the artists are still among us.
