Bebe Rexha is no longer part of Warner Records, the record label she has collaborated with for over a decade. The Albanian-American singer's departure comes after a period of tension and repeated disagreements between her and the company, writes The Sun.
Rexha, who achieved major success with the 2022 hit "I'm Good (Blue)" featuring David Guetta, has been with Warner since 2013 and has released three albums with the label. However, relations between the parties have soured in recent years.
Industry sources have revealed that the departure was seen as a positive opportunity by Bebe Rexha herself. She was very disappointed with the direction of her career and, when things reached a critical point, Warner suggested ending the collaboration. Rexha has accepted this decision and expressed her desire to start a new chapter in her career, feeling that this could not be achieved within Warner Records.
Following her departure, Bebe Rexha has hired a new management team to guide the next phase of her career, while her name has been removed from Warner's official website and the company no longer follows her on Instagram, a move the singer has since reversed.
Rexha has had a number of successes throughout her career, including the song "Meant To Be" with Florida Georgia Line, which has sold over ten million copies in the US and holds the record for the most streamed country song on Spotify. However, her recent projects have failed to replicate the same success.
Last summer, Bebe Rexha expressed her discontent on the X platform (formerly Twitter), where she said: "I could destroy a big part of this industry. I'm disappointed. I've been underestimated." After this departure from Warner Records, she seems ready to restore her power and influence in the music industry.
