Liam Mandiaro told about a serious event he experienced a few years ago in an interview for "Top Channel".
It is about an accident with his colleague from which he remained in a coma for more than a year and his brother managed to keep it a secret from his family members who live in Albania by lying to them.
Journalist: What do you remember?
Liam Mandiaro: I remember a barge coming and taking the car in front of me and then I don't remember anything until I was 16 months, 1 and a half years in a coma.
Reporter: A year and a half in a coma and your family didn't know anything.
Liam Mandiaro: This part was managed by my brother so well that...
Journalist: How is that possible?
Liam Mandiaro: I don't know either, now that this piece has aired on Top Channel at BBV3. I told Graciano a little, but I didn't want to touch that subject at all because I was afraid of my parents. They didn't know anything. Now they got it so easily either from the friend or it has been a long time. My parents say how come we didn't ask more from my brother at that time. You told your brother that he is working three shifts, he can't talk, here and there. Now I am very well, mentally I am also very well.
Journalist: What did you experience after 16 months in a coma, what did you think?
Liam Mandiaro: The only thing I remember is that there was a help button, I pressed it, the nurse came and the first thing I asked her was what time it was and where I was. When they told me that it has been a year or so since you were in a coma, I started to cry, and then my brother, my brother's friend, my company were called. I was the happiest man in those moments that I was alive. When I was in a coma I only heard footsteps that could have been the footsteps of nurses.
