10 years ago, one of the emblems of Shkodran football and not only Artan Bushati passed away.
Prominent footballer and coach, Bushati lost the battle with the incurable disease, leaving behind a lot of sadness, starting from the very young age that he passed away. Today he is remembered with sadness, but what he left behind will remain unforgettable.
He was born in Shkodër on October 9, 1963. He is a very well-known figure in the football circle in Albania. During his career as a football coach, in addition to the U21 national team, he also managed the team of his hometown, Vllaznina e Shkodra.
Bushati was also the coach of the Elbasan team, a team which he made runner-up of the country. During the five years that Kombëtarja Shpresa was led by him, it has achieved positive results and produced a number of players who have also served the Albanian National Team. During his career, Bushati has registered his name in the management of the National Team in one of the most historic matches of our country, the friendly match against the Milan team.
He was honored "Great Master", posthumously, by the President of the Republic. Passed away on August 29, 2013.
