Napoli will once again have to do without Amir Rrahmani. The Kosovo defender has suffered a new injury, just a few weeks after returning to the field from a previous injury.
The physical problem appeared during the last match against Roma. Rrahmani felt discomfort in his left thigh while chasing opponent Wesley, at which point he intervened, causing a foul.
In an official statement, the Italian club announced that the player underwent medical examinations this Tuesday at the Pineta Grande Hospital.
" Due to an injury suffered during the match against Roma, Amir Rrahmani underwent medical examinations at Pineta Grande Hospital this Tuesday, which revealed a high-grade injury to the femoral biceps of the left thigh. The defender has already begun the rehabilitation process ," Napoli said in a statement.
According to preliminary estimates, Rrahmani is expected to be out for about two months. This means that he risks not being available for the Kosovo national team for the March match against Slovakia in the World Cup play-off phase.
His absence is a blow both for Napoli in the crucial phase of the season, and for Kosovo in an important international match.
