Albanian National Team defender, Elseid Hysaj, was present at the "Loro Boriçi" stadium to closely follow the match between Vllaznia and Elbasan, which ended with a score of 2-1, as part of the 107th anniversary of the founding of the Shkodran club.
Considered the national team's "record holder" for the number of appearances, Hysaj has strong ties to Vllaznia and the city of Shkodra, as he himself is originally from this city. His presence at the stadium was welcomed with interest by the red and blue fans, in a festive evening for the club.
After the match, the footballer spoke to the media, emphasizing that he follows Albanian football mainly for pleasure. He said that he wants to see Vllaznia become champions again, to bring joy to the city of Shkodra.
" I follow Albanian football a little, more for pleasure. I hope that Vllaznia wins a championship and brings joy to this city. Shkodra is one of the most passionate cities ," declared Hysaj.
Asked about his future and where he might end his career, the defender left everything open. He mentioned Empoli as the club where he started his professional journey, but did not rule out a possible return to Shkodra.
" I haven't thought yet about where I can end my career. Maybe I'd like to return to Empoli, since that's where I started my career. Vllaznia? It wouldn't be bad. It depends on how Vllaznia can be or what things the Shkodran club can have done by then ," he said.
Hysaj's statements leave open the possibility of a possible return to Albanian football in the future, although the player himself stressed that he has not currently made a final decision about the final phase of his career.
