Coach Silvinjo spoke on "Klan News" about the Albanian national team's World Cup dream. In an interview with journalist Viola Spiro, the red and black coach stated that the match with Serbia is very important.
He even emphasized that it is not just a challenge, but a real match.
" For the World Cup, we are still alive. The victory with Latvia allowed us to come here in October for a very important match. World Cup qualifiers are never easy. We have to fight. Latvia was a difficult match, now I am more calm. With Serbia it is an important match and it comes at a beautiful moment. I expect a beautiful challenge, in terms of football.
We will work for this challenge. It is not just a match, it is different from the others. It is the real match, it has a great weight for the qualifiers, for us, but also for them. When the match starts, that is where everything starts. We will go to give everything on the field.
We are in the competition. The most important match is the next one. I have seen that in the past qualifiers we were close. We have our chances, we have to prepare well. I have faith in the players ," said Silvinjo.
Asked whether he would choose to qualify for the World Cup with Albania or manage a major European club, Silvinjo did not think long about the answer.
" At this moment, I would definitely choose to go to the World Cup with Albania 100%. This is my big dream. This is my main objective. I also have a personal desire, one day I want to coach a team that wins the Champions League. As a player I have achieved it twice, but I would also like to as a coach ," declared Silvinjo.
