New coach Rolando Maran has promised to give his best for the Albanian National Team, during his first press conference after being introduced at the helm of the Rossoneri.
The Italian coach stated that his objective and dream is to take Albania to the World Cup, a goal that, according to him, is also shared by Albanian fans.
Maran said that he knows a large part of the national team's players, as he has constantly followed the team's matches and has analyzed some of them even after his appointment.
He also revealed that he has held conversations with Gianni De Biasi, whom he described as a friend and coach of great value for what he has achieved with Albania.
According to Maran, De Biasi has given some advice and assessments for the Albanian team, while adding that the national team has the potential and the necessary conditions to achieve important results, although the road will not be easy.
The new coach emphasized that the team must function as a united group and underlined that with unity, dedication and a little luck, Albania can achieve the objective of qualifying for the World Cup.
"I know many players, because I watch football. I have watched Albania's matches, I have reviewed some of them. I have spoken with De Biasi, because besides being a good friend, he is a coach that I appreciate a lot. I know what he has done. He has given me some considerations, that he will represent them. There are conditions and opportunities to succeed, it will not be easy, but there is a possibility. With what you have, we will do more things, that will be more competitive on the card. We must achieve a lot. At the moment, my dream is to take Albania to the World Cup, so not only my dream but also yours. We must be a united group. With a united group and with a little luck, of course this can be achieved.", he said.
