Rolando Maran has given his first speech as coach of the Albanian National Team, describing leading Albania as a great personal responsibility and pride.
Maran thanked the president of the Albanian Football Association for the trust he has placed in him, while also praising the work of his predecessor, Sylvinho, for the results and performances of the National Team.
The Italian coach said that he has been following the Albanian team closely and appreciated the spirit that the red and black team represents. He stressed that he feels privileged to lead a team that, according to him, embodies the pride of an entire people.
Maran stated that his goal is to convey the love and dedication for the jersey to the field, promising maximum commitment from the staff and the group of players.
He described this task as a mission with moral and emotional weight, while adding that he wants to build an aggressive and strong team in the game.
"Hello, I want to thank the president for giving me a task that is very important to me. I also want to thank Sylvinho and compliment him for what he has done. I have followed the Albanian National Team carefully and you deserve compliments.
The President has now given me the opportunity to lead a National Team that represents a very proud people. It is a great pride for me and the promise is to transfer that great love for this nation and this jersey to the field, giving the maximum to all the staff that works with me and those I will meet in the Federation.
It is a moral commitment for me, it is a great emotion, because it is something very strong that I feel about this mission. To transmit on the field what you represent, for the fans and the nation. I want to have an aggressive team. We have to demonstrate that we are strong on the field. This is my DNA, I want to transmit this in every match. This National Team is like coaching a club, because there is a strong sense of belonging", said Maran.
