Skënder Gega is no longer the coach of Partizan. The news was officially confirmed by the capital club itself through a post on social networks, where it is announced that the coach has submitted his resignation, which was immediately accepted by the club's president.
"We thank coach Gega for the contribution and professionalism shown during this period and wish him continued success," the club's official announcement reads.
Gega took charge of the Reds for the second time in his career, leading the team in 11 games and securing an average of 1.55 points per game. His resignation comes just days after Partizan's humiliating elimination by Estonian side Nomme Kalju in the first round of the Conference League, a failure that has caused discontent among fans and pressure on the technical staff.
Partizan is currently without a coach and it is expected that the search for a new name on the bench will begin in the coming days, at a time when the team needs a quick recovery before the start of the new season.
