The coach of the Polish national team, Jan Urban, has published this Friday the list of 25 players gathered for the match against Albania, valid for the 2026 World Cup play-off. The match will take place on March 26 in Warsaw.
In a statement to Polish media, the 63-year-old described the match against the Rossoneri as a difficult challenge, emphasizing that the Albanian team has been analyzed in detail.
According to Urban, Albania presents itself as a consolidated team with stability in the game. He noted that under the leadership of coach Sylvinho, for about three years, the Albanian national team has made significant progress, achieving important results in the international arena.
The Polish coach also highlighted Albania's successes in previous qualifying matches, including positive results against strong opponents, as well as an away win over Serbia.
Focusing on the technical aspect, Urban described Albania's playing style as organized and disciplined, especially in defense.
" Albania has quality footballers who play in important teams. They apply a game model similar to Italian football, with a focus on defense and compactness. They don't score many goals, but they concede few. For this reason, a very tough match awaits us and we should not underestimate the opponent ," he said.
The winner of this match will face the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden match, while the play-off final is scheduled to be played on March 31.
