
On the day that brothers Diogo Zhota and André Silva died in a road accident in Spain, another great loss touched the world of sports. Borja Gomez passed away on Thursday, on the track during the European Stock Championship.
The 20-year-old rider was training at the French Magny-Cours circuit when he skidded on a bend and was hit by another motorbike. Gomez had won his last race in Jerez in Motorsport, and this season he has also competed in the Spanish Superbike championship. Three years ago he was a factory rider in Moto 2.
