Ernest Gjoka is very close to the company in the Superior Category, to return to Albanian football, after a 4-year absence. The well-known technician from the capital is expected to be officially on the bench of Erzen very soon.
The Shijaka club is one of the last to start work for the new season and everything starts with the new coach, after ending the last season with Alfred Deliallis on the bench, coach Xhevahir Kapllani's assistant, fired just a few weeks before the end of the championship.
It is learned that Gjoka has been in contact with the club for a long time and the parties have found an agreement to cooperate for this edition, where the primary objective remains survival in the elite.
Gjoka has directed the clubs of Apollonia, Kamza, Tomor, Flamurtar, Kukës and Vllaznia in our country, while also sitting on the bench of Shkëndija of Tetova in North Macedonia and Ohod in Saudi Arabia. In his career, he won the title of champion in the Superior Category with Kukës and in North Macedonia with Shkëndija.
At the "Tofik Jashari" stadium in Shijak, the new president of the club, Ali Kasa, accompanied by his closest collaborators, appeared.
In a speech before the Shijaka fans, Kasa said that a well-known name of Albanian football, who has managed several Albanian teams and won trophies, will sit on the bench. He also has experience abroad.
Erzen's shareholder company has given full control to Ali Kasa to decide and fire coaches for one season or to make the market together with his staff. In the last training session, only 10 footballers showed up, which shows that an intervention is needed as soon as possible in the market, as time is not promising.
