The Albanian Football Federation has been hit again by FIFA. The Albanian Football Federation announces that it has been fined 10,000 francs (approximately 10,600 euros) for incidents in the match against Latvia, and this decision will be appealed.
AFF announcement:
"The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to fine the Albanian Football Federation 10,000 Swiss francs for incidents that occurred outside the "Air Albania" stadium during the Albania - Latvia match, on September 9, 2025, as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Albanian Football Association (AFH) announces that it will appeal this decision to the relevant FIFA authorities and has initiated legal proceedings.
"The Federation calls on fans to show citizenship and support the National Team in upcoming matches without causing situations that damage its image and interests. We also request full cooperation from law enforcement institutions to ensure that every challenge is a football celebration."
