Overturning victory in the Cup, Egnatia defeats Teuta in the middle of Durrës and approaches the semifinals

Egnatia has achieved an important away victory over Teuta, triumphing 2-1 with a comeback in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Albanian Cup. The match took place at the “Niko Dovana” stadium in Durrës.

The home team took the lead in the 11th minute, when Arifi scored the opening goal for Teuta. Egnatia's reaction was not long in coming, and at the end of the first half, Adjessa equalized, ending the first 45 minutes in a draw.

When everything was heading towards a tie, it was Kryeziu who decided the fate of the match. In the 91st minute, the midfielder fired a precise shot, giving Egnatia the winning goal and the big upset.

With this success, Egnatia takes an important step towards qualifying for the semi-finals of the Albanian Cup. The return match between the two teams will be played on March 4, in Rrogozhina, where the team that will advance further will be determined.
