With the historic silver medal victory at Eurobasket, Turkey coach Ergin Ataman's team made an ideal start to the World Cup qualifiers, defeating Bosnia at home.

After the match, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the locker room to congratulate Ergin Ataman and his players.

The Turkish president had a brief conversation with the athletes, while discussing more with both Panathinaikos coach and the team's forward, Cedi Osman. The visit was also attended by the president of the Turkish Basketball Federation, Hedo Turkoglu.
