Etrit Berisha has been a free footballer since June, after he left the Empoli team he played with last season. The Albanian goalkeeper could not find an agreement during the summer and remained on the market as a free player.
A situation that left him far from the gatherings of the Albanian National Team, with Strakosha already promoted to first goalkeeper due to Berisha's inability to find a team. But it seems that the goalkeeper is preparing a possible return to the field, moreover to Italian football.
Beyond the Adriatic, it is reported that Berisha is in contact with the Salernitana club and could sign with the latter if an agreement is found between the parties. The Serie B club is in need of an expert goalkeeper following the injury suffered by goalkeeper Sepe, if the latter's long absence is confirmed.
The parties are in discussions, as Salernitana is also negotiating with Antonio Mirante about the possibility of joining this team.
