National team striker Armando Broja played 25 minutes in Everton's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Goodison on Saturday. The 23-year-old suffered an injury on January 9 that kept him out for ten Premier League games and after minutes with the national team he has earned the trust of David Moyes at Everton.
For "Everton.tv" Broja said that he has a lot to give and the best is yet to come. The youngster shows that he no longer feels pain and enters the field with confidence.
" I feel much better now. I'm happy that I can get on the pitch and play without pain. This is everything I wanted, to have no pain, to enjoy football, to play in front of the fans and to try to do my best for the team. I'm 100% sure that there's a lot more that can come from me. The best is yet to come. I can do a lot more. There will be moments when the goals come and I'll play a lot better, for sure. As I said, the most important thing for me is that I'm back again, to play without pain and to put behind me any injuries I've had in the past and look forward.
Whoever you are, whatever player you are, it's always important when you have a chance to show the manager, the fans, the club and everyone what you can do. That's part of being a footballer. Every time you step on the pitch, you have to give everything, it doesn't matter who you are, what level you play, it's always about doing the best for yourself and the club. I want to go on the pitch and give everything I can. Expectations - Like I said, the best will come. I know what I can do. I know my capacity and I can push from there. They always try and I think that's always been in Everton's nature. You could see that today too. We don't stop. We keep going until the final whistle. We want to climb as high as we can in the table. "We still have seven games left and we know we will face some big teams again, but we will give it our all and make sure we go as high as possible," said the 23-year-old.
Broja is playing at Everton on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season and hopes to convince the club's leaders from Liverpool to buy him in the summer.
