Difficult situation for Borussia Dortmund! Nico Schlotterbeck has damaged the meniscus in his left knee and will therefore be absent until the end of the season.
The club officially announced this on Monday. The injury occurred during training.
Sporting director Sebastian Kehl said: "Nico's absence hits us very hard. He is a very important part of our team and has impressed with consistently good performances this season.
We hope he regains his form quickly and receives maximum support from us on his way back."
Dortmund will play the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Barcelona on Wednesday evening.
