Alen Zhires is no longer the coach of Kosovo and a few minutes ago, the Federation of Kosovo announced the termination of cooperation.
Through a press release, the Federation announces that this was a bilateral agreement for the termination of cooperation, as the results have been negative. In the first 4 qualifying matches, Kosovo has 3 draws and 1 loss, showing nothing to prove qualification.
Announcement of the Kosovo Football Federation:
June 20, 2023 - The Football Federation of Kosovo announces that by mutual agreement with the selector, Alain Giresse, it has been decided to terminate cooperation. Until this decision, it comes after the loss in the last match against Belarus (1:2).
The Football Federation of Kosovo thanks coach Giresse for his commitment and work during the period he was in charge of the Kosovo National Team.
Further reforms in the national team are expected in the future.
