Albanian fans' interest in the match against Poland has been immediate and high. In less than 24 hours since the opening of the ticket application process, around 10,000 people have expressed their desire to attend the match at Warsaw's "Narodowy" Stadium, which will take place on March 26.
Ticket distribution process
The distribution of tickets has started since Monday through an application system, while the selection of beneficiaries will be done by lottery. According to sources close to the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF), a significant portion of applicants have requested two tickets each, significantly increasing the competition for securing a seat in the stadium.
Capacity limitations
The spaces available for Albanian fans remain limited. According to UEFA regulations, only 5% of the stadium's capacity is allocated to away team fans. This translates to around 3,500 seats for red and black supporters.
The AFF's efforts to secure a larger number of tickets have not been successful, leaving the standard quotas set by UEFA in effect.
The importance of the match
The match on March 26 is considered key to the Albanian national team's progress on the road to the World Cup. If they qualify, Albania will face the winner of the Sweden-Ukraine match in the next round, in a single elimination match that will determine which team advances further.
