Yasir Asani has concluded his experience in South Korea with the Guangzhou shirt and will now travel to Iran to present himself to the Esteghlal club, with whom he had an agreement to join in January. According to Korean media, this situation was completely outside the plans of the Guangzhou club, but also of the striker himself.
Asani initially wanted to go to Esteghlal immediately after signing, but the clubs had not agreed on his compensation. The Iranians had proposed a payment of 100 thousand dollars, but this was rejected by the Koreans.
Thus, Asani had returned to the team after two weeks away, had apologized for disturbing the atmosphere at the club, and in this weekend's match, he was in the lineup of Guangzhou in the championship victory. After the match, he took the microphone celebrating in front of the fans and did not give any sign of leaving.
The situation changed completely during the last day, after the Iranians gave in and accepted Guangzhou's request to pay the figure of 1 million dollars to release Asan before the end of the contract in January. The payment must be made within a week from the date of the transfer approval also by FIFA. If Esteghlal does not make the payment on time, then the figure will immediately increase to 2 million dollars, bringing a very significant profit for the Korean club from the Albanian footballer, who would leave as a zero parameter in January.
