Vedat Muriqi's good form in La Liga has attracted the attention of several well-known European clubs, which have expressed interest in the services of the Mallorca striker.
The Kosovar striker is having an incredible season in Spain, scoring 21 goals in 31 matches. With this performance, he has become the top scorer in the history of the Mallorca club in La Liga.
However, despite speculation about a possible transfer, his manager, Utku Cenikli, has clarified the situation in an interview with Spanish media outlet AS. According to him, there are currently no concrete developments regarding the player's departure.
" I was at the match against Valencia to see Muriqi up close. I have visited him before. There is no news regarding any transfer. Vedati is a proven player and has strong ties to Mallorca. He currently aims to successfully finish the season and is fully focused on the team ," Cenikli declared.
Muriqi has a contract with the Spanish club until 2029, which makes a possible move in the near term even more difficult.
Meanwhile, the striker celebrated his 32nd birthday on Friday. The Mallorca club congratulated him in a special way, calling him "the best goalscorer in their history in La Liga."
