Elmando Gjini has been included in the plans of the national team coach, Silvinjo, ahead of the match against Poland. It remains to be seen in the coming days whether the 23-year-old will receive an official invitation, or will remain on the reserve list.
The Vllaznia defender is having a positive season, where he has become one of the pillars of the Shkodra team. Gjini is being activated on loan from Balkan, while Vllaznia's objective remains winning the championship title. The red and blue club also has the right to buy the player's card at the end of the season.
On an individual level, Gjini has been part of Albania's senior teams up to the U-21 level. Born in Sweden, he is considered one of the successful signings of the summer transfer window for Vllaznia. He has made 30 appearances so far, contributing with one goal and one assist.
The last challenge before a possible national team training camp is against Dinamo. After this match, it is expected to be clarified whether Gjini will join the team led by Silvinjo.
