Al Hilal, one of the teams participating in the Club World Cup, is aiming to make a big splash before the competition begins. The Saudi club, which already has well-known figures in the squad, is looking to strengthen even further and has a sensational plan in mind.
Al Hilal's big wish is to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, who is under contract with Al Nassr but has not yet agreed to renew. Ronaldo's transfer would be a sensational blow for Al Hilal not only for the Club World Cup, but also within the Arab league.
Al Hilal's interest in Ronaldo is not new. In 2022, the club tried to sign the Portuguese, but restrictions imposed by the Center for Arbitration for Sport (CAS) thwarted the deal. Now, with Neymar gone, Al Hilal is looking for a new star and believes that the arrival of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner would be the ideal transfer. Despite being 40 years old, the striker continues to show his quality with impressive figures, surpassing 20 goals this season.
So far, there has been no official offer, but talks could intensify in the coming days and an agreement could be reached before June 15, the date on which the Club World Cup starts.
