The LFP (French Football League) and McDonald's have reached an agreement for a strategic partnership under which McDonald's will become the main partner of Ligue 1, from 1 July 2024, for the next three seasons.

Here is the press release:

" The first French restaurateur, present in more than 1150 cities, with two million meals a day. This partnership seals the meeting between two well-known institutions, firmly embedded in the daily life and collective imagination of the French.

With this new agreement, the LFP is continuing its ambition to develop the Ligue 1 brand. Through its national network of 1,560 restaurants, McDonald's will bring Ligue 1 even closer to fans across the country.

Furthermore, thanks to the international dimension of its main sponsor, Ligue 1 will benefit from further growth drivers outside its borders.

With this new partnership, McDonald's underlines the deep commitment made by all its subsidiaries to enable the development of amateur sports clubs.

Across the country, more than 400 soccer teams benefit from the support of a McDonald's restaurant to support youth, amateur, women's and professional teams ."
