The first two matches for today in the first round of the Europa League have been completed. Lille won at home 2-1 against the Norwegians of Bran. The goals were all scored in the second half. Igamane scored the first in the 53rd minute for the French, but the credit went to Fernandez-Pardo, who assisted at the end.
In the 59th minute, the Norwegians equalized through Magnuson, after a quick counterattack. In the 80th minute, veteran Oliver Giroud scored the winning goal for Lille, after a cross from Tiago Santos.
In the other match, last season's surprise Eredivisie winner GA Eagles, who won the Dutch Cup, were defeated in the first leg by Romanian side Steaua Bucharest with a score of 0-1. We recall that Steaua Bucharest eliminated Drita on their way to reaching the Europa League groups. The only goal for the Romanians was scored by David Mikulescu in the 13th minute.
