Ivan Balliu may no longer be part of the Albanian national team. Coach Rolando Maran stated in a press conference that the defender is not yet sure if he will continue playing for the Rossoneri.
The new national team coach said that in the future he will also pay more attention to the U-21 team, as an opportunity to bring new players to the national team.
"I spoke to Balliu and he was very honest. I don't know yet if he will play for the national team. He took time to decide and this seems like the right thing to do."
We are always hungry and proud of good results. We have had little time. I referred to the waiting list that was sent. There is no pressure, but a desire to win. Not by experimenting. Growth does not always come from experiments. It is the end of the season and the players come tired. From what I have spoken, I have seen a spirit of sacrifice and that is what we need.
After these two matches are over, I will have time to focus on the U-21 National Team. This is the next step to having players in the National Team.
We have to see what serves the national team. I want to be objective in the choices I make.
"The goal is to have a defense with 4 players and 3 more offensive players. I want to look at the players and then I will decide ," said Maran.
