England are holding their first training session under new coach Thomas Tuchel this week, after being appointed to the Three Lions' bench in January. The German will make his debut against Albania at Wembley on Friday and is keen to make his mark with a win.
To do this, and with very little time available, he has used the same tactic as the Albanian national team coach, Silvinjo. The latter often uses players from the youth teams or even guests from the Albanian championship to complete the number of players for training sessions.
Tuchel did the same, taking three players from the England U-21 team, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Adam Wharton and Liam Delap, to train with the team on Tuesday, so that he had the right numbers to implement his tactical exercises.
It was officially confirmed today that Kol Palmer will not participate in the training camp, as his injury has proven to be more concerning than expected and he will not be available to the coach for the March matches.
