Jose Mourinho has decided to return to Benfica. The Portuguese coach will sit on their bench after almost 25 years.
The Champions League calendar holds some interesting matches, with two of Mourinho's matches against his former clubs. It all starts with Chelsea and ends with Real Madrid. In between are matches against Newcastle, Leverkusen, Ajax, Napoli and Juventus.
Benfica have sacked Bruno Lage. His dismissal came after a surprise home defeat to Qarabag. And the second week of the Champions League will see Mourinho in charge.
In the championship, the rivalry for the title is expected between Porto and Benfica. After four matches played, Benfica has 10 points. Porto with 15 points and Sporting with 12 after five matches, hold the first two places.
