Roberto Bordin will be the new coach of Elbasan. The 59-year-old Italian will land this midweek in Albania and after signing the agreement, he will immediately start working with the team.
It is about a coach with a very rich CV, who in his career has coached Sheriff of Tiraspol, Neftçi Baku, Triestina and the National Team of Moldova. Meanwhile, as an assistant coach he worked in Vicenza, Bologna, Padua, Siena, Sassuolo, Verona and Cluj. Until June of this year, Bordin was the coach of Triestina in Serie C, "SuperSport" writes.
This will not be the first time that the 59-year-old touches the field of "Elbasan Arena", since in July 2017, Bordin came as an opponent to challenge Kukësi, at that time as a coach of Sheriff of Tiraspol. In that match, even though he lost 2-1, his Sheriff qualified for the next stage.
Exactly 7 years later, the Italian returns with the goal of doing well with Elbasan. The former Moldova coach succeeds Nevil Deden, who left a few days ago. The "Tigers" climbed this edition to the elite of Albanian football, but they want to be a factor and aim to participate in the "Final 4" next season in the Superior Category.
