Moldova-Albania, the penultimate match for the Reds and Blacks in Group E, for the qualifiers of the European "Germany 2024" will be played on November 17, at 18:00 at the "Zimbru" stadium in Chisinau. UEFA has appointed experienced referees for this decisive meeting, where undoubtedly one more point is enough for coach Silvinjo's confidants to realize their European dream.
In this meeting, justice will be decided by an old friend of the Albanian National Team, namely the 44-year-old William Collum from Scotland. His assistants are Deivid MkGeçi and Francis Konir. The four referees are Kevin Klansey, all three, like the main referee, come from Scotland.
A teacher by profession, he began his career teaching religion in the Religious Education department in Uddingston, before moving on to St Aidan's High School in Wishaw.
This will be the fourth match for Scottish referee William Kollum who will referee Albania. So it is about an old acquaintance, who also judged us in "EURO 2016". It is about the match of June 15, France-Albania, which ended with the result 2-0, where the goals for "Gjelat" were scored by Grizman in the 90th minute and Pajet in the 96th minute.
Earlier, the Scot judged us in two other matches, which ended in a draw. For the first time, William Kollum judged Albania on June 7, 2013, where in "Qemal Stafa" we drew 1-1 with Norway and the goal for the National Team was scored by Valdet Rama in the 41st minute. While the second time was on the 4 September 2015, precisely in the Denmark-Albania 0-0 match. Based on the past, it seems that the Scotsman Kollum has brought luck to Albania in the qualifying matches in the group and if the tradition continues, even a draw in Moldova is enough for Albania to ensure early qualification to "Germany 2024".
