The prosecution will appeal the decision that convicted the former Barcelona player, Dani Alvesh.
As "Mundo Deportivo" reports, the Brazilian was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for sexually assaulting a girl in the bathroom of a night club in Suton. And now the intent is to revoke the leniency measure and increase the prison sentence.
The Public Prosecutor is already preparing the appeal against the sentence of the Court of Barcelona. In the middle is the mitigating factor of compensation (the former player paid 150,000 euros in compensation to the victim), a situation that the Prosecution would like to use to oppose the appeal.
The implementation of this relief measure was opposed by the Prosecutor's Office, stating that it was an amount that the investigating judge had set as a guarantee for Alvesh at the time of the trial. However, the victim never accepted that amount.
"Discriminatory attitude", according to the prosecution, since the payment of those 150,000 euros represents an advantage for the accused due to comfortable economic skills.
But be careful: even the defense (Alvesh's lawyers) are ready to appeal to request release: they claim that the sexual relations were consensual with the informant.
