Kosovo responds, Veldin Hoxha scores the equalizer against Slovakia

The Kosovo national team managed to equalize the score in the semi-final play-off match for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, against Slovakia.

The match, which is being played at the Tehelné pole stadium in Bratislava, got off to a fast start for the home team. In the 6th minute, Martin Valjent (with an assist from Lukáš Haraslín) gave Slovakia the lead, making the score 1-0.

But Kosovo did not delay in reacting. In the 21st minute, Veldin Hoxha scored a fantastic goal for the Dardanelles. After a beautiful action where Mërgim Vojvoda made a short and precise pass, Hoxha shot with a strong turn from outside the area towards the bottom left corner of the goal, making the score 1-1.
