In the 60th minute of the soccer match between Atlético Nacional and Junior, during the 10th match of the Colombian League, violent fights broke out between the fans in the stands of the stadium.

The situation escalated so badly that police reported more than 20 injuries, many caused by stabbings, as violent supporters from both teams were seen wielding knives.

The riots started in the 56th minute, shortly after the locals scored the second goal. About 300 Xjunior fans started fighting with Atlético Nacional fans.

In response, the home fans reacted violently, defending themselves in a chaotic scene. The level of violence caused the referee to suspend the match in the 60th minute.

The injured were immediately treated at the stadium before being transferred to nearby hospitals. The feeling of insecurity inside the stadium was so strong that the violence spilled onto the pitch, forcing players from both teams to run for safety in the dressing rooms.
