Rayo Vallecano have secured a place in the Conference League final after beating Strasbourg in the return leg in France. The Spanish side won 1-0 thanks to a goal scored by Alemao in the 42nd minute, sealing their place in the final act of the competition.
Among the protagonists of this achievement was the defender of the Albanian National Team, Ivan Balliu, who received important minutes in the second leg semi-final and contributed to his team's success.
After the match, Balliu shared his emotions with the fans through a post on social media, where he described this moment as the realization of a long-standing dream.
" We dreamed for years about a night like this, yesterday this dream became history ," the Albanian defender wrote.
Qualifying for the final is considered a well-deserved success for the Madrid club, which has shown convincing performances in the European arena throughout the season.
In the grand final, Rayo Vallecano will face Crystal Palace. The match will take place on May 27 at the Leipzig stadium, in Germany.
