Ylber Ramadani has been one of the key players in Lecce's historic season, with the Italian team securing survival in Serie A for the fourth consecutive year. The club will continue to be part of the elite of Italian football next season, achieving a new record in its history with five consecutive seasons in Serie A.
The Albanian midfielder was an undisputed starter under coach Eusebio Di Francesco, making a significant contribution to the team's consistent results. Despite a lower budget compared to its direct rivals, Lecce managed to survive this season in the Italian championship.
Ramadan's performances have also been appreciated by the club's management, who activated the clause to extend his contract for another year. The Albanian midfielder is already tied to Lecce until the summer of 2027.
However, Ramadani will not start the 2026-2027 season from the first week. The yellow card received in the last challenge against Genoa caused him to reach the punishment limit, being suspended for one match. As a result, the Albanian will be absent from the opening match of the new Serie A season.
