"I refused Albania", ex-captain 'Dardan': My dream was to play only for Kosovo

Anel Rashkaj has returned to talk about the past period in Kosovo, but also about the offers he had rejected to stay loyal to the "Dardans", writes "albinfo.ch". Rashkaj withdrew from the Kosovo representative in football in 2020, but he had never before discussed behind the scenes who he had rejected for the "Dardane" jersey.

The 34-year-old said that he rejected Sweden and Albania to wear the Kosovo shirt.

" Yes, Albania has been interested in me. When I was 17-18 years old, I spoke and talked with Albania. They told me to go to U-21. I also talked with Sweden.

But, the moment Kosovo was accepted, I was looking forward to it and my desire was burning to play for Kosovo. I took this decision and for me those were the unforgettable moments ", said Rashkaj.
