Cole Palmer's shirt from his memorable four-goal haul against Brighton is expected to fetch a hefty sum at auction.
The Chelsea star became the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in the first half of a game. Palmer's shirt has been auctioned off on MatchWornShirt, with the club pledging to make a donation to the Chelsea Charity Foundation. His original T-shirt has been temporarily authenticated by Fabrics, the most advanced memorabilia technology. The description says:
“ We will replace these images with photographs once the product arrives to prove its authenticity. It is important to note that there may be slight differences between the actual product and our digital representation of it. The first player to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League game ," read the description accompanying the former Manchester City talent's shirt.
One customer has already bid £16,000 for the 22-year-old's shirt. The same person, who appears to be from Hong Kong, had initially bid £9,000 and £12,000 for the striker's shirt earlier this week. The talented English striker is maintaining the form that saw him score 25 goals for Chelsea last season. Chelsea fans and collectors are scrambling to get their hands on this piece of football history. Its sale could also break the record of Cristiano Ronaldo's shirt, sold for £36,000, after his second return to Manchester United.
