
Albania U-19 girls won the first match against Cyprus with a score of 3-0, valid for the second round of the 2025 European Championship.
In the meeting played at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium, the red and black girls triumphed with the goals of Rexhina Maxhalaku, Era Methoxha and Klesta Agos.
The match started well for Albania from the start of the meeting. The girls registered some good chances, while in the 26th they managed to find the way to the net with Klaudia Borci, but the goal was canceled due to irregular position.
Just four minutes later in the 30th minute, the red and black girls scored again. Methoxha correctly arched from the corner kick and defender Rexhina Maxhalaku sent the ball into the net.
The second group also starts well for the red and black under-19s, who are looking for the second goal. The second goal comes a few minutes later, in the 53rd minute. Klaudia Borci assists for Era Methoxha, with the latter controlling the ball, sending it into the bottom of the Cypriot net, doubling the score for Albania.
In the 85th minute, Klesta Ago scores the peace goal for Albania, after the assist of Vesa Paçarizi, bringing the numbers to 3-0.
3-0 is also the final result of the first match of Albania U-19 for girls, which starts the matches of the second round of the European Championship 2024 for this age group quite well. In the other match of group B6, Scotland beat Liechtenstein 10-0.
Albania U-19 girls will play the second match of this round on April 6, against Liechtenstein at the 'Elbasan Arena' stadium at 15:30.
