
The Albanian U-19 national team left the "Elbasan Arena" stadium without a point in the match against Ireland. The first challenge of Group 13, within the European 2024 qualifiers, ended with the score 3-1 in favor of the Irish.
The trustees of Ervin Bulk suffered from the first minutes. Ireland took the lead through O'Mahony in the 5th minute of the challenge. But Ireland's lead didn't last long, as in the 23rd minute, Erald Krasniqi found the back of the net, sending the teams into the locker room level.
As the second half began, Ireland became more aggressive and demanding. O'Mahony in the 56th minute and Umeh in the 59th minute managed to score two quick goals that sent the red and blacks to the 'knock-out'.
Albania is in the group together with Belgium and Slovenia, with these two drawing with each other and sharing the 2nd and 3rd place. Ireland leads the ranking with 3 points, while the Reds and Blacks, after this first round started badly, remain in the last place.
