Some of the Premier League matchday 15 fixtures have been completed. At the Etihad, Manchester City beat Granit Xhaka's Sunderland 3-0 to move just two points clear of first-place Arsenal. Ruben Dias opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a spectacular long-range strike. The Portuguese centre-back's powerful strike found the back of the net. In the 35th minute, Josko Guardiola headed in Phil Foden's cross from a corner.
In the 65th minute, Phil Foden headed home a Ryan Cherki assist to seal a 3-0 win for the Citizens. Chelsea failed to capitalise on Arsenal's defeat, as the Blues were held to a goalless draw at Bournemouth and are now fourth on 25 points, eight points behind Arsenal and five behind third-placed Aston Villa.
Tottenham returned to winning ways after a five-week absence with a 2-0 home win over Brentford today. The home side took the lead in the 25th minute through Richarlison after an assist from Xavi Simons. At the end of the first half, it was Xavi Simons who doubled the lead.
Everton won 3-0 against Nottingham Forest, an own goal by Milenkovic, a goal by Tiero Berry at the end of the first half and a goal by Kieran Dewsbury-Hall in the 80th minute.
