There is no upset at the Allianz Arena. Bayern Munich was held to a 1-1 draw by PSG, but failed to qualify for the final in Budapest, with the French being the ones who will touch the Champions League final for the second time in a row.
The first half ended 0-1 in favor of the reigning European champions. After a quick counterattack and a fantastic assist from Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, it was precisely Osman Dembele who pushed the ball into the goal defended by Manuel Neuer, less than 3 minutes later.
In the 22nd minute, Bayern came close to equalising, but Luis Diaz's shot went over the bar. In the 27th minute, Oliseh had a good chance to score, but the Frenchman's shot also went over the bar.
In the 31st minute, the Bavarians were not happy with the referee on two occasions. First, they asked for a yellow card for Nunjo Mendes for handball. If he was punished, Mendes would have left the field because it would have been his second yellow card. In the other case, the Bavarians claimed a handball by Joao Neves inside the area, but the referee continued the game normally. In the 34th minute, Neuer made a fantastic save after Joao Neves' header.
At the end of the first half, Bayern had a good opportunity with Jamal Musaiala, but Safonov's save was fantastic.
In the final, PSG will face Arsenal. The Parisians will seek their second consecutive Champions League trophy, after the one they won with Inter a year ago with a deep score of 5-0.
