The European Games in Poland continued on the fourth day, as the Albanian athletes were unlucky in boxing and taekwondo. In boxing, Redis Karaj and Gelian Rojku were eliminated, while Juirdo Cani had the same fate in taekwondo.
The red and black boxer, Redis Karaj, fought with the Italian rival Salvatore Kavajaro in the weight of 80 kilograms, but he did not manage to qualify for the next round of the event, after being defeated by the Italian with a score of 5-0 after three rounds.
The boxer, Gelian Rojku, has debuted at the 2023 European Games, weighing 92 kilograms. The red-and-black athlete was defeated by the German Alexander Christian Okafor with a score of 5-0, being eliminated from the tournament.
The other sportsman Juirdo Cani also competed today in the 2023 European Games in the sport of taekwondo. Cani was defeated 2-1 by the Italian Denis Baretta.
On the other hand, Alvin Karaqi wrote history yesterday and received the gold medal in karate. In the discipline of kumite karate up to 84 kilograms, the red and black sportsman made the Albanian anthem be heard.
