Carlos Alcaraz has shown that he will undoubtedly be one of the leading names in world tennis for many years to come. The talented Spaniard defended his Wimbelldon Grand Slam title today, triumphing for the second year in a row against the same rival, Novak Djokovic, who was unbeaten at the tournament since 2018 before the Spaniard's breakthrough.
The 21-year-old has shown that even the experience of the veteran Djokovic could not do anything before his explosion and strength, after winning 3-0 in sets, rarely questioning the dominance in this duel. Successes with numbers 6-2 in the first two sets made it clear how much the difference was between the two tennis players in the current situation.
In the third set, Djokovic fought to stay in the contest and managed to take the set to a tie-break to attempt the miracle. But Alcaraz was unstoppable and won there 7-4, taking the third set and the Wimbelldon tournament victory.
Thus, the Spaniard became the fourth player in history to win 4 Grand Slam tournaments at the age of 21 and only the second player after Roger Federer to win the first four major finals in which he participated.
