For years, Albanian clubs have been regular members of the FIFA lists in terms of blocking the market windows due to the lawsuits they have lost due to obligations to former players or coaches. The situation continues to be equally problematic in the current season and this can already be easily ascertained by anyone.
FIFA has created a special section on its website dedicated to clubs with a blocked market, a page that is updated weekly and where anyone can easily ascertain whether or not a club has the opportunity to intervene in a market windows or how many such are blocked by internationals.
In the current situation, in Albania the market is blocked by 2 clubs of Superior, one of the First Category and one club which already exists only on paper.
Tirana and Laçi are the two Superiore clubs blocked by FIFA. The Blue and Whites turn out to be blocked for three market windows (until the summer of 2025) with decisions given on 26.10.2023 and 10.01.2024, i.e. the last one just two days ago. As for Laçi, the blockage results again with three market windows, with the decisions given on 18.10.2023 and 07.11.2023.
In the First Category, it is the leaders of Bylis who have blocked the transfer market for three windows as well. The decisions for the referees are dated 09.10.2023 and 03.01.2024.
Meanwhile, the fourth club is that of KS Luftëtari, which practically no longer exists after it was merged and due to arrears towards players with decisions given in 2020, 2022 and 2023, the market window is blocked without a limit of determined by FIFA if he returns to activity./Panorama Sport
