Ardian Nuhiu is no longer the coach of Tirana. The white and blue club officially announced the termination of the contract with the technician, thus closing a chapter that lasted only a few months.
In a public statement, Tirana thanked Nuhiu for his contribution and professionalism during his time in charge of the team, and wished him continued success in his career. The decision comes at a difficult time for the white and blue team, who are going through an unstable period in the championship.
Without wasting any time, the management has chosen to bring back Orges Shehi to the white-and-blue bench. The Durrës-born coach returns four years after declaring Tirana champions and after a successful period in charge of the team.
Shehi led Tirana from January 2021 to October 2023, recording over 120 official matches. During his tenure, the white and blue team won the championship title and the Albanian Super Cup. Statistics speak of a positive balance, with over 60 percent of victories.
After leaving Tirana, he took charge of the Balkans in Kosovo, but now returns at a time when the team requires stability and immediate reaction.
In his first statement after his return, Shehi said that the decision was "a choice of the heart and the fans", emphasizing that the goal is to overcome the critical situation the team is in. The preliminary contract is expected to last until the end of the season.
