Arsenal avoided another misstep this week that could have cost them top spot, with Manchester City still in hot pursuit. The Londoners won convincingly 4-1 at Tottenham, taking three crucial points in the title race.
The match started at a high pace and goals in the first half. Arsenal took the lead in the 32nd minute through Eberechi Eze, who scored for 0-1. Just two minutes later, in the 34th, Randal Kolo Muani equalized for Tottenham to 1-1, the result with which the first half ended.
In the second half, Arsenal reacted immediately. In the 47th minute, Viktor Gyökeres scored for 1-2 after an assist from Jurrien Timber. The pressure from the visitors continued and in the 61st minute Eze scored his second personal goal, bringing the score to 1-3.
The fourth goal came in extra time. In the 90+4 minute, Gyökeres scored again, this time after an assist from Martin Ødegaard, finally sealing Arsenal's 1-4 victory.
With this success, Arsenal maintains its pace at the top of the table and sends a clear signal to its rivals, while Tottenham is left with the disappointment of a deep defeat in the London derby.
