Tirana continues to face penalties from the tax administration. Recently, the blue and white club has been recognized with another document of the Tax Administration. The latter, on 07.09.2023, filed letter no. 43999 Prot., dated 28.07.2023 with subject:
"Request for Provision of Tax Liability Insurance", issued by the General Directorate of Taxes, Central Region, where it is requested: "Deposition of the tax liability insurance measure of the taxpayer company "Football Club Tirana, equipped with NUIS, L12220027I. The imposition of this measure aims to prevent the alienation of property titles and property rights belonging to this taxpayer until the tax obligations are settled." According to the letter attached by the tax authorities, the liability of KF Tirana is 42454027 ALL. Until the payment of this amount, the properties of KF Tirana are blocked. Tirana does not only have obligations towards taxes and players.
In the recently published balance sheet, the white and blue for the year 2022 have obligations to third parties for court proceedings in the form of a provision for 40,370,785 ALL. These are total liabilities for third party lawsuits that will be paid in the coming years. However, the obligation in the form of a provision is uncertain and in accounting means an uncertain debt, for better or for worse. In these conditions, the white and blue must look carefully at the near and distant future. However, such a decision is not alarming, since it is a matter of non-payment of tax obligations, which any taxpayer can settle even by making an agreement with the tax authority.This is a common practice of the tax authorities, until all the arrears that KF Tirana has towards the state are collected.
