The former captain of Brazil in the World Cup '74, Marinjo Perez Ulibari, has passed away at the age of 76, as a result of complications caused by pneumonia.

The former Barcelona and Santos centre-back was hospitalized a month ago and according to what his wife reported on social networks, the Brazilian spent the last eight days of his life intubated.

Ulibari arrived in Spain at the peak of his career, aged 27, after playing at the World Cup in Germany as captain of the defending champions Seleção, who were beaten in the semi-finals by the Netherlands.
